What You Will Do:
- Technical Mastery: Update electrical, water, and air reticulation drawings, and understand the operations process flow.
- Data Management: Track water, electricity, fuel, and steam consumption, and prepare monthly engineering reports.
- Equipment Reliability: Drive initiatives to increase Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and monitor critical equipment running times.
- Maintenance Planning: Plan and schedule preventative and reactive maintenance based on risk assessments.
- Energy Efficiency: Conduct energy audits and power surveys to identify improvement areas in our Aquaculture Operations.
- Detailed Reporting: Keep thorough engineering maintenance records for audits.
- Process Automation: Learn and apply skills in instrumentation, processes, networking, SCADA, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller)
- Project Management: Oversee projects from design to commissioning, including fund requests, vendor selection, and quality control.
- Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth engineering service delivery.
- PLC Logic: Collaborate with contractors to develop PLC control logic for various process areas.
- Professional Growth: Gain practical experience to work towards ECSA Candidate registration and become a professional Engineer/Technologist.
What you will need to be considered:
- Bachelor of Sciences or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 60% average in your final year
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suit Programmes.
- Problem-Solver: Hands-on approach to finding solutions
- Engineering Insight: Good understanding of Electrical Engineering
- Experience Bonus: Vacation or part-time work experience is a plus
- Outdoor Enthusiast: Willingness to work in a farm environment
- Physical Fit: Capability to perform manual tasks and endure farm conditions
